What is Recognition of Prior Learning

RPL is the process by which existing skills, knowledge and experience gained throughout your life, are recognised as contributing towards the achievement of a nationally recognised qualification or statement of attainment.

RPL recognises what you have already learned from:
  • other courses
  • life experience
  • playing sport or other team activities
  • work experience, including voluntary work
  • any training provided at work…
and measures this against the course you are doing, or want to do. If what you have learned at work or elsewhere is relevant to the course, you may not have to do those parts of the course again.

Are you eligible?

If you are currently a member of the Australian Breathwork Association or have been trained and are using Breathwork in your practice you could be eligible for RPL.

BTI also recognises AQF and VET qualifications and VET statements of attainment issued by any other RTO

We are committed to making this extraordinary modality more widely available and are looking to qualify other trainers.

"I trained in Breathwork before accredited trainings were available, and have been working as a practitioner since 2002. Now I'm official! It was a pleasure working with BTI throughout the process of my RPL application. What could have been a dry and onerous task was made enjoyable with BTI's support, warmth and encouragement."

"Congratulations Cindy! Your clients have long recognised your many gifts. BTI is delighted to be able to do the same. Best wishes for the future." Ann Harrison, BTI Director

Anna Aranci, Dip. Breathwork Group Facilitator, said:

" It is with an open heart, filled with gratitude that I write these words about my experience of the process and journey that attaining RPL for a Diploma in Breathwork, Group Facilitator, took me on. As a Breathworker of 14 years, the process surprised me with its depth and riches. I was presented with hidden truths and untruths about myself that I was more than ready to see and transform, and all the while I was being held in a space of loving care and patience by both Robyn and Ann. Without a doubt, it was one of the most valuable experiences of my life, to date."
